Com 26 indicações, Game of Thrones é o grande destaque do Emmy 2015. Os concorrentes ao “Oscar da TV” foram divulgados hoje pela Academia de Televisão, Artes e Ciências dos EUA. A cerimônia de premiação será realizada no dia 20 de setembro e contará com Andy Samberg (SNL, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) como mestre de cerimônia. Na vice-liderança dos indicados aparece American Horror Story: Freak Show, que concorre em 19 categorias. Queridinha do grande público, a comédia nerd The Big Bang Theory não ficou entre os selecionados das principais categorias, incluindo Jim Parsons, que venceu em 2014 e em outras três ocasiões no quesito Melhor Ator de Comédia.

Apesar do grande número de indicações, é provável que Game of Thrones não leve os principais prêmios do Emmy 2015. Isso porque ela terá um adversário de peso: Mad Men, que além de ter um alto padrão de qualidade, se despediu esse ano e tem tudo para triunfar nas categorias mais importantes.

Outro fator curioso do Emmy 2015 é o aumento de produções que vieram da internet. Além de House of Cards e Orange is the New Black, aparecem na lista de indicados Transparent, da Amazon, e Unbreakable Kimmy Schidt, do Netflix. Apesar do crescimento das produções on-line, as TVs, obviamente, ainda dominam o mercado. Para ter uma ideia, só a HBO tem 126 indicações. A segunda colocada, ABC, tem 42.
